Canada offers many opportunities for skilled immigrants who are proficient in both English and French. Being able to communicate well in both languages is better and gives you a competitive edge over someone who speaks only one language. There is no age limit for bilingual Bachelor and master’s degree holders. The official languages of Canada are both English and French and applicants get language points based on their language proficiency demonstrated by doing accepted language tests. One can opt for either English or French to be the first official language and vice-versa to be the second official language. Thus, a person who is bilingual with both English and French skills, can opt between the two languages depending on which combination contributes to a better score.
