- Requirements for the creation of a Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) position
Hours of work
The FTE position must be for a minimum of 30 hours per week, that is 1,560 hours on a yearly basis. The position must be fulfilled by one or more employees who are under continuous employment.
CC/PR
The FTEs should be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada. They cannot be independent contractors or shareholders holding more than 10% ownership of the business.
buying existing business
For the case of the takeover of an existing venture, the number of existing jobs in the business should be maintained and the employees (s) should be paid a wage as per their skill level
Provincial Nomination
When they receive nomination for the BC Province, applicants should be able to prove that they have consistently hired the required number of FTEs for a minimum of 6 months.
