On February 14, 2024 Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued Invitations to Apply (ITAs). A total of 3,500 candidates were invited under the category-based selection draw for healthcare occupations.

The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required for this draw was 422, with the lowest-ranked candidate invited having a CRS score of 422. Tie-breaking rules for this draw were based on the date and time candidates submitted their Express Entry profiles, with the cut-off being January 30, 2024, at 02:39:54 UTC.

Since the launch of Healthcare Occupations (2023-1) on June 28, 2023, there has been a remarkable and continuous growth in the number of invitations issued to healthcare workers in each draw. Today’s draw was the fourth one. We also note a decrease in the minimum required CRS score with each subsequent draw.

The Express Entry system is a points-based system used by the Canadian government to manage applications for Canadian permanent residency. Candidates are ranked based on their human capital attributes, such as age, language ability, work experience, occupation, and education, with the highest-ranked candidates receiving ITAs. The Express Entry system manages applications for the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Canadian Experience Class, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program.
