Express Entry CEC 161th Draw.

Express Entry CEC 161th Draw.

EXPRESS ENTRY PROGRAM-SPECIFIC DRAW UNDER CEC HELD ON AUGUST 20, 2020

Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is for skilled workers who have Canadian work experience and want to become permanent residents. Candidates must have at least 1 year of skilled work experience in Canada, in the last 3 years before they apply. A total number of 3,300 invitations were issued to Canadian Experience Class candidates on August 20, 2020. The CRS score of the lowest-ranked candidate invited was 454. The minimum CRS score was 9 points higher than the previous CEC draw held on July 23, 2020. Candidates who submitted their profile before August 20, 2020, at 11:10:05 UTC were issued Invitation To Apply (ITAs). If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.

The frequency of Express Entry draws usually affects the CRS cut-off score. We can infer that the increase in the CRS score is due to the fact that more candidates have entered the express entry pool over the past month after IRCC held the Express Entry 158th Draw – no program specified held on August 05, 2020.

The August 20, 2020, Express Entry program-specific draw under the CEC is the 10th draw of 2020 and brings the total ITAs issued so far this year to 65,750 as illustrated by the graph below.
