Express Entry 157th CEC Draw_July 23, 2020

Express Entry Draw: 3,343 CEC candidates were invited in the July 23, 2020 draw

A total number of 3,343 Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates were issued Invitation To Apply (ITAs) letters on July 23, 2020. The minimum CRS score was 445. Candidates who submitted their profile before July 12, 2020, at 15:16:55 UTC were invited to apply. If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.

The frequency of Express Entry draws usually affects the CRS cut-off score. Fewer candidates have time to create an Express Entry profile in the pool as a result of shorter intervals between each draw.

The July 23, 2020, Express Entry draw brings the total ITAs issued so far this year to 57,700. The graph below shows that the number of ITAs has exceeded that of last year and year before despite the coronavirus pandemic and travel ban in Canada.

It is noteworthy to mention that IRCC has actually conducted a total number of 19 draws since March 18, 2020, targeting both candidates with the provincial nomination and those who had a Canadian Experience.

We can infer that 2020 has started off as a great year for Express Entry candidates despite the Coronavirus crisis. Since then IRCC has remained operational allowing candidates to submit their profile and has held program-specific draws focusing specifically on PNP and Canadian Experience Class applicants. Canada has also resumed all-program Express Entry draw on July 08, 2020, in which a total of 3,900 ITAs were issued to Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) candidates.
