1st Draw: French-language proficiency category

On July 07, 2023 a total of 2,300 Candidates were invited to apply for Permanent Residence under the French-language proficiency category. The CRS score was at 439; the lowest CRS score of 2023.

Under this category, the strong French-speaking abilities criteria does not use work experience as a key factor for selection.

By 2023, Canada plans to welcome 82,880 new immigrants through its Express Entry system.

The annual Immigration Levels Plan determines how many permanent residents Canada aims to admit over the course of a calendar year. The plan is developed in consultation with provinces and territories, stakeholder organizations and the public.

The following levels of new permanent residents (PR) will be welcomed by Canada over the coming 3 years:
