153TH DRAW UNDER PNP

153TH DRAW UNDER PNP

June 24th 2020 Express Entry Program –specific

                153th draw under PNP

On June 23, 2020, 392 PNP candidates from the Express Entry pool were invited to apply for Permanent Residency. Candidates with a CRS score of at least 696 who submitted their profile before April 23, 2020, at 10:39:30 UTC received the Invitation To Apply (ITAs). If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.

It should be pointed out that Express Entry candidates with a provincial nomination receive an additional 600 points toward their CRS score, which explains the higher cut-off score. The requirement for basic human capital points would have been only 96 points without the additional points from the provincial nomination.

From the time when Canada announced its travel restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the frequency of Express Entry draws has increased.  Till date, a total of 15 draws were held focusing specifically on CEC and PNP applicants.  It may be recalled that the PNP Express Entry draw held on April 29, 2020, invited candidates with a CRS score of 692 which was the lowest requirement since January 2019.

The graph below shows a comparison of ITAs issued to date and annual target admissions since the Express Entry system was launched in 2015:

As of date, a total of 46,392 ITAs were issued to applicants in the Express Entry pool.
